Convert Variant Tracks
As of Genomics Workbench 6.0 variant tracks has changed type.
Variant tracks created prior to this release (previously called "variation" tracks) does not satisfy the new constraint that each element (i.e. each variant) contains only one sequence alteration. Furthermore, some more rigid definitions of variant types (SNV, deletion, insertion, replacement) has been introduced.
All relevant actions will still run on pre-6.0 variation tracks, doing the necessary conversions on-the-fly. In some situations, however, it can be advantageous to do a full conversion before running the action. This is for performance and for visualization purposes.
The "Convert Old Variation Tracks" is installed in the Toolbox under Track Tools.
