Modern 3-tier server architecture

The architecture of CLC Genomics Server is designed to provide full flexibility on the client-side, on the database backend, and on integration with other bioinformatics applications.

We offer two types of off-the-shelf clients for accessing CLC Genomics Server:

• Thin clients: Any type of Web browser
• Thick clients: Any type of CLC Workbench

The open API gives the opportunity of designing your own type of clients like scripts or other proprietary programs accessing the server.
